About Udaipur


Udaipur was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II as a new capital of the Mewar kingdom. It is known for its Rajput-era palaces. Udaipur city is also referred to as the "Venice of the East", the "Most Romantic City of India" and the "Kashmir of Rajasthan". A gorgeous city filled with monumental palaces, sparkling lakes and beautiful streets, Udaipur is any traveler’s dream.
